This completely free guide is going to start with the basics of what is a smart home and walk you through, step-by-step, how to make a smart home and go from controlling one light bulb with your phone to automating your whole home’s lighting, security devices, and appliances. We’ll even do fun things like create our own buttons around the home to control different parts of it just with a tap from your phone. My goal is to get you understanding and creating a smart home using cheap smart house devices quickly and easily, so I'll need to omit some technical definitions to get you there. I'll try to point to other great resources on the internet if you want a more complete or technical picture painted for you.
